If you are afraid to write about an issue that you are too new to have an opinion on, then ask your professor for advice. There are many books and articles that offer great advice on how to write an effective essay. They may have a different way of looking at things than you do, but if you are willing to pay attention, you will soon find out that there are several ways to approach essay topics.
